A complaint was submitted to the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission today (02) with the support of the lawyers of the “Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners” regarding the disappearance of 33-year-old Roshan Chaturka, who was arrested by the Special Task Force at Katunayake Airport on November 1st, 2023.
Due to the intervention of our organization’s lawyers and activists, we have received information that the suspect in question is currently in the custody of the Seethaka Police, and we believe that the law will be properly implemented in relation to the allegations against him.

2023 නොවැම්බර් 01 වැනි දින කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපළේදී විශේෂ කාර්ය බළකාය විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබෙන 33 හැවිරිදි රොෂාන් චතුර්ක නමැති තරුණයාගේ අතුරුදන්වීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අද (02) “සිරකරු අයිතිවාසිකම් සුරැකීමේ කමිටුවේ” නීතිඥවරුන්ගේ සහාය ඇතිව මානව හිමිකම් කොමිෂන් සභාවට පැමිණිල්ලක් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී.
අප සංවිධානයේ නීතිඥවරුන් සහ ක්‍රියාකාරීන්ගේ මැදිහත්වීම හේතුවෙන් මේ වනවිට අදාළ සැකකරු සීතාවක පොලිසිය භාරයේ සිටින බවට අප වෙත තොරතුරු ලැබී ඇති අතර, ඔහුට එරෙහිව ඇති චෝදනාවන් වලට අදාළව නීතිය නිසි පරිදි ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ යැයි අප විශ්වාස කරමු.
