An impartial investigation is needed into Sanjeewa’s death – Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners

The Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners made a complaint to the Human Rights Commission, urging for a fair investigation into the death of Hengodage Sanjeeva Premakumara Silva. Mr. Silva, a father of two, allegedly lost his life in a confrontation with the Police Special Task Force. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the occasion of complaint was filed, Sudesh Nandimal Silva, a board member of the Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners and the spouse of the late Sanjeeva Premakumara, shared their thoughts with the media.
